    Mark Wahlberg is Bob Lee Swagger, a former Marine scout sniper and disgruntled American hero who thought he had walked away from the job forever after a devastating betrayal. Now, despite having hidden himself away in a remote mountain hideaway, Bob is approached by retired Colonel Isaac Johnson (Danny Glover), who tells him the country desperately needs him. An assassination attempt on the President is imminent, and only Swagger's lethal skills and expertise can stop the threat. Swagger reluctantly agrees to help, but what he doesn't know is that the entire mission is a set-up. By the time Swagger realizes the event has been rigged, it's too late. Suddenly, he is pursued as the lone gunman who attempted to shoot the President. Swagger has nowhere to hide, and no one to help him except a woman he's just met, and a rookie FBI agent 3 weeks out of the acadamy, Swagger is in a desperate battle which puts all his skills to the test. Time is running out as he tries to figure out who the real assassins are before they kill him. But he soon realizes there is more than his survival at stake, because he's about to uncover a devastating conspiracy rooted at the very heart of American Power.
